The scientists behind ViroZap used evolving 21st century air purification techniques to create a revolutionary new system

Prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Applied Photonix's scientists -- Dr. Yogi Goswami and Lovely Goswami -- developed a new method to exterminate the spread of viruses, organic volatiles, spores, molds and other airborne pathogens in indoor air. The result is their revolutionary new technology called ViroZap.

ViroZap products have now received FDA 510(K) clearance from US FDA based on our performance against viruses,
bacteria, and mold and other spores.


ViroZap protects human health by destroying these pathogens where they spread: indoor environments. ViroZap utilizes a combination of filtration, advanced photonic technology and LED lighting to destroy pathogens in the air, product being end up carbon dioxide and water. ViroZap has ease of maintenance and nearly universal applicability. It can be retrofitted into existing central air systems or built into new construction. It can be used in small and large environments, including residential and commercial buildings, as well as hospitals and medical facilities.

The ViroZap has been tested against a broad range of airborne microorganisms at an air flow of 500 CFM and showed more than 4 log reduction within a short period of time.

Net Log Reduction for the ViroZap device (5 log reduction means 99.999% destruction). Device was set to 500 CFM for all trials. Each line represents the average net log reduction of three trials. Control trial natural decay of bioaerosol concentrations was subtracted from bioaerosol concentrations with the device in operation to determine net reduction.
